| Fingerstyle guitarists have been said to be among the most discriminating players in the world. And many such players come to our shop because we have a wide selection of instruments that meet their criteria. For many years we've carried Rob Ehlers fine instruments and this example surely speaks volume for his work. A cedar top is used to give a sweet tone to the guitar with multi-colored 1/2 herringbone binding. Attractive koa back and sides enhance the sound as well as add beauty to the instrument. The peghead has a premium paua border inlay. While beauty isn't a requirement to an exceptional instrument ~ it's hard not to appreciate the brown diagonal prufling or the Brazilian Rosewood binding and peghead veneer. Once your hand grasps the neck and you begin to play, the guitar seems to come to life. Resonating every note almost effortlessly. There's some finish checking on the top, but who cares? With hardcase included. |

| Rob Ehlers uncovered a beautiful stash of some of the finest quilted mahogany ever found by any luthier anywhere. This then is the 15" version he made with quilted mahogany back and sides and Adirondack spruce top.
Detailing such as the hand-select abalone inlay adorning the rosette, top purfling, headstock and bridge, as well as the Ehlers signature abalone dot fretboard markers with silver border, give this exquisite guitar an especially luxuriant sheen. Hand-made rosewood buttons on the Schaller tuning machines complete the look. This is a truly gorgeous instrument, and the combination of fine tonewoods gives it a clean, crisp sound.
