Huber Lancaster
|
| Vintage flat-head tone! |
| The Lancaster is modeled after some of the most prized banjos of the pre war era. The neck and resonator are made from choice mahogany in a natural wood finish. The resonator features twin concentric rings in the back and the neck and resonator are both trimmed with white binding. The parts, including the highly praised Huber "vintage flat-head" tone ring are all nickel plated. For the player with that pre war tone in mind, it is obviously found here. Crisp ringing highs, solid 4th string, and so much clarity that you could slice bread at 100 paces. When we were little baby banjo pickers, this is the tone we dreamed about! With hard shell case. |

Huber banjos are the gold standard for new professional quality banjos…and very hard to come by! With the most precise detailing to prewar specs available today, and the sound and power to back it up, Huber banjos are played by more pros than any other new banjo. The inspiration for the Kalamazoo model came from one of Steve Huber's most prized pre-war flatheads. Featuring a mahogany-stained straight grain maple neck and mahogany 5-ply prewar style resonator with concentric circle purfling rings, this elegant banjo sports a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard cut to a 14'' radius with the original Huber inlay pattern. The headstock is inlaid with a classic fleur-de-lis design. The power source of this killer banjo is the hide glue 3-ply hard rock maple rim fitted with the renowned Huber "vintage flathead" tone ring, which yields that classic prewar sound. The bluegrass pickers here are all Jonesing for this one! You can trade your current banjo toward a new Huber! With hard shell case.
