Capek F-5 old era
|
| Lloyd Loar visits the Czech Republic! |
| Rostislav Capek studied violin making at one of the oldest established schools in Europe. His mandolins are gaining in popularity by leaps and bounds, being found in the hands of such players as Radim Zenkl. This Florentine style is called the Old Era because it's construction is based on instruments produced in the US during the "Golden Era" of the 20th Century. A hand carved Carpathian Spruce top with gorgeous flamed Maple back & sides, along with impeccable workmanship are the hallmarks of Capek mandolins.. |
